• Edward Peterman Museum of Railroad History – 1005 Railroad Ave., Santa Clara; 408-243-3969; www.sbhrs.org. Tuesday, 6-9pm and Saturday, 10am-3pm. Set in the historic Santa Clara Depot, the museum features historic buildings, railroad artifacts and operating scale model displays. Free.
• Moffett Field Historical Museum – Moffett Field, Severyns Ave., Mountain View; 650-964-4024; www.moffettfieldmuseum.org. Wednesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm. The museum includes five display areas that cover significant time periods in Moffett Field’s history, such as the blimp era. Children 12 and under free.
• Roaring Camp Railroads – Graham Hill Rd. (exit Hwy. 17 at Mt. Hermon Rd.), Felton; 831-335-4484; www.roaringcamp.com. Travels through Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and down the San Lorenzo River gorge before ending at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
• Wings of History – 12777 Murphy Ave., San Martin; 408-683-2290; www.wingsofhistory.org. Weekends, 11am-4pm. Dedicated to the preservation and restoration of antique and unique aircraft.
