Permanent collection on view in 27 galleries, as well as special exhibits and art classes for kids to adults. Free admission and tours.

• Carmel Art Association – Dolores St. (between 5th and 6th), Carmel; 831-624-6176; www.carmelart.org. Carmel’s oldest gallery with works of more than 120 professional local artists.
• de Saisset Museum – Santa Clara University, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara; 408-554-4528; www.scu.edu/deSaisset. Tuesday-Sunday, 11am-4pm. Collection of 10,000 objects, including Renaissance prints.
